I know most SLRs are 35mm film cameras, but some SLRs are digital. Whatʻs the difference between them and DSLRs. Which is better? A DSLR or a digital SLR?

Hey guys, I have a DX format nikon SLR and I’m wondering if I take around a 1000 pictures a day how long will this last? Hopefully a lifetime??

I’ve done some research and It is either the Sony A100 or the Nikon D80. But I’m really on the fence between the two. I know the specs of both but this is my first DSLR and want to know which one I should get.

We were at a wedding this weekend and the photographer were taking pictures of the guests. And every time he takes one, the picture automatically appears on this laptop for preview. What do you call this feature and does all DSLR have this?

My main interests are landscape/scenery and the compacts I’ve used just don’t meet the grade. In my price range, does it make sense to buy a cheap DSLR like the EOS 1000D/Rebel XS with a better than kit lens or should I buy something like the Nikon 5000D with the standard 18-55 lens? Many thanks!

I have a canon XSi. I was wondering if i could somehow use my old Ricoh KR-30sp’s lens (a Rikenon P Zoom 28-100mm macro) on my canon. Is there a lens converter kit or something of the sort I can buy so i can use this lens on my canon? Thanks.

I currently have the nikon d80 with a nikon 18-200mm lens. I want to know which lens is best for macro photography, and then some good ones for portraits. I don’t really care for a telephoto lens too much at the moment.

They said that Nikon is the best brand for professional cameras.. i need to know specifically what model of nikon can do best for photography with affordable price.

I am fairly new to photography and am interested in buying a zoom lens. What are some suggestions for a good middle level zoom, that is affordable (I am thinking in the $500 – $600 range)? Must be compatible with a canon EOS dSLR.

I have been using point-and-shoot for a few years now and I think I’m ready for the DSLR.
