It will be outside in cold dry weather but i didn’t know if it is okay to leave it operating taking long exposures all night. its in a safe area where no one of thing can touch it.

As stated your battery will run down more so in cold weather. Keep in mind you may still get moisture so you may want to consider putting a plastic bag around the camera and letting the edge of the lens stick out.
If camera is constantly on (taking images) in the cold you can figure 1-2 hrs of battery life instead of the typical 4-5 hours on a warmer summer night.
depending on how cold it is, the battery will run out faster. I would try it out and check the battery every hour or so, see how long it will last in that temperature.
I don’t see why not, but the cold may shorten the battery life.
