Looking For A Teleconverter That Works With Nikon Dslr?
I recently purchased a Nikon D40, and i’m trying to find a teleconverter that will work with my 70-300 mm lens. I know for a fact that the Nikon TC 14 E, 17 E, and 20 E will only work with fixed focal length lenses, and i don’t have the $1500 to buy a fixed length telephoto lens.

Actually, all three of the teleconverters will work with the AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-200mm f2.8 IF-ED.
The TC-20E II works with the 200-400mm with no auto focus.
The 70-300 lens is too slow for teleconverters to work for any camera manufactures including Canon, the AF sensors needs at least a f5.6 to work.
“things are a lot easier with canons … much less complicated…”
Right try putting a EF-S lens on a full frame body.
