Should I Get A Linear Or Circular Polarizing Lens For My Canon 20d Dslr?

I am planning on buying a polarizing filter to go with my zoom lens with my Canon 20D DSLR.
When shooting:
- I use autofocus most of the time
- I adjust the metering manually sometimes (trying to do it more often now)
I am not sure if I should buy a linear or circular polarizer.
Any advice?

Buy a circular polarizer. Do NOT waste your money on a cheap, no-name filter. Buy quality – Heliopan, Tiffen, B+W, Hoya, Singh-Ray.

Linear polarizers are known to cause trouble with autofocus and through the lens metering systems. Since you use a modern camera that meters through the lens and autofocuses through the lens, you’ll want a circular polarizer.

    Definitely circular.
