Using a DSLR camera (especially Nikon D3000) how i can focus two or more objects at a time? Suppose a group of 4 people are there, how I can get the focus on all the 4 peoples eye ? Any body please answer.

I am looking for a DSLR camera that will carry me through from now entry level taking photography classes to hopefully professional. I am passionate about photography and am interested in eventually taking portraits for a side income. I was looking at the Nikon DSLR because the price was reasonable, but I don’t want to invest in it if I will be looking to upgrade in a few months. Anyone have any advise/experience that could help me out? Thank you

im talking about the d3000.the nikkor lenses,and not having a built in auto-focus. AF lenses,Manual etc..please guide me through.Thanks.
