What Are Some Good And Relatively Low Price Lens For A Canon Dslr?

I have a Canon Digital Rebel XTi and I already have the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II which I love! But I want to have a wider variety of lenses to choose from and I’m sort of on a budget.
They don’t necessary have to be made by Canon, as long as they fit on my camera and work nicely.
Thanks in advance for the help!

I have the Canon 75-300mm, Canon 50mm and the Canon 18-55mm…I really do enjoy all of them. I tend to use my 18-55mm most of the time, I use my 50mm for portraits, and I use my 75-300mm when I take my kids or my clients to a park and want to photograph them when they don’t realize I’m there. The next lens I’m going to buy is 28-135mm.
    good Luck with everything.

Quite a few people told me not to buy Canon lenses, weird as it might sound. I have been adviced to get Sigma lenses (I am currntly testing 3) Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro). My friends who have been taking photos for much longer have also said that out of two- Sigma and Canon, Sigma seems to be a better option. And this lens f.ex. is relatively cheap.

Check out sigma4less.com – I’ve picked up a couple of Sigma and Canon’s there for about 20% less than other online stores.
The 8mm fisheye ($550 or so) is a great lens.
The 75-300 is a decent budget lens ($160).
I use the 28-135 – great quality and well made ($400).
Don’t skimp too much on the lens – too cheap and you’ll have poor quality images to show for it.
