I currently have the nikon d80 with a nikon 18-200mm lens. I want to know which lens is best for macro photography, and then some good ones for portraits. I don’t really care for a telephoto lens too much at the moment.

Nikon 105 mm.is the best macro lens from Nikon.Focus is very fast and quiet. Excellent image quality, excellent build, excellent VR implementation.But if you want cheaper one Nikon 60 mm is a good choice.
Nikon does have a fairly large selection of Macro lenses. I would definitely check into them.
