What Do You Think About The Nikon Dslr 3000?
I am looking for a DSLR camera that will carry me through from now entry level taking photography classes to hopefully professional. I am passionate about photography and am interested in eventually taking portraits for a side income. I was looking at the Nikon DSLR because the price was reasonable, but I don’t want to invest in it if I will be looking to upgrade in a few months. Anyone have any advise/experience that could help me out? Thank you

this is a great beginners camera. The great things about it are the 11 autofocus points, ADL option, compact size, great ergonomics and size, build quality, and easy-to-use menu. The drawbacks are the older processor, plasticky feel (I don’t mind it, and furthermore it feels solid), and disappointing screen. Overall, it’s a great camera to purchase if you’re thinking about getting into DSLRs…
If you find you LOVE photography, it will help you develop as a photographer and understand what you are doing until you’re ready to upgrade to something more serious. If you find that photography is not a hobby for you but just a means to an end, then you have a camera that you can throw into full-auto mode and take better pics than your standard P&S, and it didn’t set you back a ton of $$$.
It will take you through your photography class no doubt.
But never “invest” in a DSLR, or any other technology driven product. They are consumables, they’ll last a few years before breaking, or more if you take good care of it, but it’ll be outdated every few years and you’ll end up getting a new one.
It’s just a tool, buy it, use it, if it doesn’t work for you anymore then get a new one. For cameras, you “invest” in lenses, they’ll last you a lifetime.
Nikon D3000 is a good camera for entry level camera.Easy to use, take good picture and affordable price.Peraonally I would recommend it.That will last you several years before upgrade.
